My niece-in-law is wonderful. She designed this page for me. Isn't it cute?
Not a whole lot has been going on with me. I went to the Lego Expo on Aug 7th (a Saturday), and while the displays were really interesting and intricate, and included a Boeing 777 (not to scale) and several working trains, it was really crowded. Lots and lots of pre-teen to young teenagers and their somewhat interested parents. Some more interested than others. The little shopping area was so crowded we couldn't actually get up to the tables to see the merchandise. Which was probably a good thing, because from what we saw there were a LOT of little SW figures. Now if only they came in a boxed set...
Last weekend, after doing some rearranging (bookcases are all in the den now as are the books that went on them before my roomie came), I crashed on the couch for hours. Finally watched 'The Day The Earth Stood Still', you can see my review to the side -> There were several movies on tv that were not bad to watch. I also did some sewing for the drama group that just started at APL. I'm helping with their costumes this time, maybe next time I'll actually join and do something on stage. Something more family-friendly, I hope. I'd like to be able to invite my friends, and most of them have kids.
This week I had my annual Pampered Chef Show. I'm closing it out this evening, I believe. I think I had twice as many people there as any previous PC show! All my chairs were taken! Ok, so I only have 6 chairs, a loveseat and a rocking chair, but you get the idea. I mostly have these shows because I need a reason to invite my friends over--I'm not good at the spontaneous "let's get together and have a party" thing. But I do enjoy having them over. And we got to make delicious, mostly healthy food--chicken ceaser salad and a fruit salsa with cinnamon pita chips. Yum! I'm trying the leftover salsa on ice cream tonight. :)
This coming weekend I don't have much plans either: work in the back yard, clean the bathrooms in the house (yes, I still have a woman come over to clean, but only once a month), and see if I can get my cat Ani out from under the stairs in the den. He can hide behind the couch, I'm fine with that.
Speaking of whom, Ani comes out at night to eat and play, but as far as I can tell stays under the stairs the rest of the time. Padme Kitty decided to stop going downstairs (where her litter box was), so I had to move her litter box upstairs into my bathroom. I hope they get used to each other sooner rather than later. I leave the doors open, but with him refusing to come out and her refusing to go downstairs, it's not likely that they'll meet.
So enjoy the new look of my page! I know I do :)

Cute! I agree with your review of TDTESS. Great job on your Pampered Chef party! I never could get anyone to come to mine.
I really like your new look. It is awesome.
Good luck with the cat situation.
