Well, those who are driving are on their way here. For what? Have you not been paying attention?? The Andersen Family Reunion, 2013 is on the East Coast! I rented a beach house for a week, in in New Jersey, and the family has started to make their way here.

But yet so much fun. Lots of rejoicing to ensue, I'm sure. And finally, someone to play games with!!
Work is going slowly. I'm putting in extra hours this time period so I don't have to use up all my vacation time. It's going to be pretty close as it is, no Christmastime trips for me this year. The spacecraft are both behaving, the ground system not so much. Stupid ground system anyway.
Made some new friends on Facebook. Role-players, several of them. I like seeing what they're up to. I mustn't join them, though, i spend too much time on facebook as it is.
Interestingly enough, last week's RS lesson was about the overuse of technology. Yeah, I was checking facebook at the time. I have a problem. Then we had Stake Conference yesterday, and one of the things our Stake President challenged us to do was to not use our technology during the time the YM/YW are on Trek. June 26-29. That's going to be very hard for me. I'm thinking it applies to all my personal technology - I'll still have to carry my work phone, and using my cell phone as a phone (and not access to the inner world of Facebook) would probably also be ok. Seriously, how often do I actually use my phone as a phone in a given day? Yeah. Less than once a day. Unless I need to contact the Sister Missionaries. Which I will since I'm taking them to dinner on the 28th. But that's beside the point it. The point is, can i survive not being on facebook for four-five days?? I'm thinking five days because I shouldn't be on facebook on Sunday either, except maybe for family stuff. maybe. Sounds like a waffle to me (would I like some strawberries on that waffle?)
So, the goal is to decrease the amount of time I'm spending on Facebook now, then when Trek comes I can do it for five days. I may be practically useless the following Monday, though. I have lots of friends on Facebook! I'm sure there will be many posts I need to wade through! :)
Kitty was acting strange this morning. I think she's mad at me. She didn't wake me up at 5:00am per usual, and wouldn't join me on the bed. She was on her cat tree (more of a bush, really) when I finally got up this morning. At 6:15am. I thought I heard an altercation between her and Ani last night, but I can't be sure. I may have dreamed it. So there's that.
Ani's being a pill. He went from not having anything to do with me to not leaving me alone when I go to visit him. Seriously? Does he HAVE to rub his face all over whatever I'm trying to read, or tease me with 'Ok you can pet me here, no I meant over here'? He's also been bumping his face into my face. Which is sweet, but all the cat hair on my face afterwards isn't. I tried brushing him last night to no avail. I need a better brush for him. Time to pull out the Furminator, I think. Which is odd, cuz he has really short hair. It just gets everywhere!
