Almost time!

Packages are wrapped and sent, Christmas cards went out today (I have a couple hold-outs, but they'll be out tomorrow). (If you read my blog, you don't get a card, and you want one, please let me know! Course, at this point it will be after Christmas that you receive it). Went to three holiday parties, with one more today and another next week. I think maybe it's time to relax and enjoy Christmastime now.

I also went to two holiday concerts--Helicon, the one I usually go to, and a Jazz one that was very fun, even if our seats were quite high and I got a little dizzy. Took Kellie to the Helicon concert, and she enjoyed it very much. Will need to take Corrine next year, and possibly Sheely too. Hopefully it won't be the same night as the Ward Christmas party next year!!

Also busy getting prepared for the play I'll be directing in the New Year--The Curious Savage. It's a sweet story, and one I can invite my church friends to, so that's good :)

On my way to Utah this evening!

Found it!!

Found my Christmas Spirit!

I was driving to work today, and "Do they know it's Christmas?" came on the radio. As i remembered what it was like back in winter of 1984, with the Ethiopian famine, and how Bob Geldof organized so many rock stars and others with huge egos and managed to do something that would allow me, a high-schooler in California to participate. A friend of mine and I pooled our resources and bought the record--she has it now, but I did get a recording of it on cassette tape. Of course, now I have it from iTunes. But it accomplished what nothing else seemed too--it got me into the Christmas spirit. because this really is the time of year when it's all about giving, far more than receiving.

Merry Christmas, everybody.
